Market Doctor and Betking Partner to Drive Environmental Sustainability and Maternal Health in Nigeria
Market Doctor and Betking have partnered to launch the “Month of Good” campaign, which is geared toward driving environmental sustainability and maternal health in Nigeria. The month-long campaign, which began on June 6, 2023, is part of Betking’s ongoing CSR drive, Betking Cares, which anchors the company’s commitment to positively impacting lives within communities.
The campaign is supporting medical outreaches across 8 states in Nigeria, including Osun State, Ekiti State, Delta State, Enugu State, Benue State, Kano State, Bayelsa State, and Abia State.
Market Doctor is providing maternal care at Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and distributing maternal kits containing birthing kits, diapers, baby lotion, baby oil, and baby soap. The organization is also distributing hygiene kits containing roll-on, toothpaste and toothbrush, shaving stick, condoms, and sanitary pads at the car parks.
The campaign aims to improve maternal health and reduce preventable deaths among women and children in Nigeria. Nigeria has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world, with an estimated 58,000 women dying each year from childbirth-related complications.
The campaign is also promoting environmental sustainability by planting trees and cleaning up communities. Betking has pledged to plant 10,000 trees during the campaign.
The “Month of Good” campaign is a valuable initiative that is helping to improve the lives of Nigerians in underserved communities. Market Doctor and Betking are committed to making a positive impact on the country, and this campaign is a shining example of their commitment.
Conclusion:
The “Month of Good” campaign is a timely and important initiative. Maternal health and environmental sustainability are two of the most pressing challenges facing Nigeria today. Market Doctor and Betking are to be commended for their commitment to addressing these challenges.
We encourage everyone to support the “Month of Good” campaign in any way they can. You can donate to Market Doctor, plant a tree, or clean up your community. Every little bit helps.
